Escape to our beautiful lakefront cabin on Hohman Lake, and experience a truly relaxing vacation. Our unplugged getaway is the perfect destination for families, small groups of friends, or couples looking to disconnect and unwind.
The cozy cabin features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, offering 1000 square feet of comfortable living space. Enjoy stunning views of the lake from the screened porch and deck, and relax in the large private spa. Renters are welcome to fish on the lake, swim off the dock, and bring their own kayaks or canoes to use on the water.
The master bedroom overlooks the screened porch and offers a queen-size bed with a breathtaking view of the lake. The second bedroom also features a queen-size bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. Additionally, we provide a queen-size inflatable mattress, allowing the cabin to sleep up to 6 guests.
The cabin is equipped with central heat and air, TV with Blu-Ray/DVD player, washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, towels, linens, hairdryer, and iron. We also provide complimentary coffee supplies to get your mornings started off right. Please note that there is no cable or satellite service, internet connection, or landline phone service at the cabin. However, cell phone service for texting is good, and voice service is fair. If you need to stay connected, both Metropolis and Paducah public libraries have computer rooms available for use.
There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing, and wildlife watching in the vicinity. The cabin is located near the Shawnee National Forest and just a 40-minute drive away from the stunning Garden of Gods.

Summary: I’m a busy legal advocate with 5 kids (24-4). Needed to have a dad and daughter weekend with my college enrolled, almost full time working 21 year old daughter. Rachel and Jerome’s cabin was perfect, lots of time to talk, no work emails, scrolling or homework. The house is perfect and full of extra touches to feel more like a home than a cabin. The expansive back yard was great with the large screen porch, deck, hot tub and the lake access.The only negative, (that was not a negative for us) is there is no cell service and no WiFi. We were able to make phone calls though. For me, this is exactly what I wanted though!Tons of deer, very quiet, not far from several beautiful towns. Less than 2 hours from Nashville, we even golfed one day.Great long weekend! Thank you again to the owners for providing a great experience!Josh and Jenalee

Summary: Great proximity to Metropolis and Paducah but the benefits of a relaxing lake view. The screened in patio was SO comfortable. Well stocked home with hcomfortable furnishings. Everything you need for coffee too which I really appreciate.

Summary: My sisters & I were in Paducah for the quilt show & wanted a relaxing place to wind down after a few busy days of shopping. This cottage really fit the bill. Located on a beautiful lake in Brookport, IL, it was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable, the views were fabulous! The kitchen was equipped with all the right utensils, etc. if I am ever traveling in this part of the country again, I would definitely stay here again

Summary: We had a great time relaxing inside, in the hot tub and walking around the lake. It's a wonderful place to stay. Nearby we enjoyed food in Paducah, the great trails for MTBing and hiking in the Land Between the Lakes, and just had to waste time seeing the World's Tallest Superman. Good times for sure.

Summary: I almost don’t want to share how great this place is to keep it a secret for when I want to stay! Seriously though, couldn’t ask for a better place to get away. My last minute booking was accepted right away. All necessary information to check in was conveniently provided through the site. House was clean and comfortable. I forgot soap, and body wash was available! Hot tub was clean and enjoyable under the night sky. The swing by the lake was a nice touch. Dock is sturdy. Property is a great location. I am definitely booking again!
